Born in Lima, Peru, Ms. Ochoa Cohen obtained her Master of Comparative Law (MCL) degree at George Washington University’s Law School.  She has a Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree from the Catholic University of Peru and she performed Post-graduate studies in Political Science at the University of New Hampshire.  Ms. Ochoa Cohen is a licensed attorney both, in Lima, Peru and in the United States.

After working at the Immigration Law firm of Barst & Mukamal, Ms. Ochoa Cohen established her solo practice in 1990.  Since then, she has been assisting U.S. employers in the sponsorship process for qualified professionals and technical personnel, as well as assisting US citizens and permanent residents sponsor their relatives.

Ms. Ochoa Cohen has been invited to give presentations on Immigration Law at the Peruvian Embassy in Washington, D.C., as well as at various non-profit organizations, including the Gilchrist Center.  Ms. Ochoa Cohen collaborates with the renowned Peruvian journalist, Monica Delta.
